Trainee Production Operator (Shift)

We are recruiting for a Trainee Production Operator to join the Manufacturing Department based at our ARC site. The role is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week on a rotatoinal shift pattern.



To perform procedures and duties in compliance with agreed specifications for the manufacture of high-quality diagnostic reagents according to GMP. Perform and progress, under the direction of the area team leader, a range of skilled/complex tasks within manufacturing departments, utilising acquired knowledge, experience and/or qualifications.


The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:

  • Supporting the manufacture of products to agreed schedules and specifications

  • Completion and maintainance of accurate and legible records to ensure relevant laboratory documentation is kept in a satisfactory condition.

  • Maintainance of equipment, in accordance with agreed procedures, ensuring equipment is operating correctly.

  • Ensure sufficient consumables are available for scheduled work.

  • Undertaking and participating in continuous training and assessment in accordance with personal development plan.





  • Excellent levels of literacy, numeracy, communication, and IT skills.

  • Experience of working in a fast paced, team-working environment essential

  • Experience within food and drinks industry, with knowledge of COSHH, FIFO, hygiene, and food safety practices desirable

  • Experience within a GMP laboratory environment desirable.

  • Must be flexible in accordance with Company requirements whilst exhibiting a ‘can do’ attitude.




  • Basic salary of £19,305 with incremental increases based on progression and development

  • 20% shift allowance

  • Rotational weekly shift pattern of 06:00 - 14:00, 09:30 - 17:30 and 14:00 - 22:00
