Packaging & Labelling Engineer

We are recruiting for a Packaging & Labelling Engineer to join our Supply Chain department based in Penicuik. 

The role is a full-time position working flexible working hours, with occasional travel to Switzerland.

This role entails supporting all labelling activities from design to execution across both sites: Edinburgh and Eysins.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The main responsibilities will include:

• Develop new packaging & label design in coordination with Marketing, Commercial, RA, Development, Supply chain and Manufacturing.
• Assist all internal teams and perform research on all products and evaluate packing requirements in development phase of all products that will improve EHS standards.
• Documents all engineering protocols and develop all engineering and manufacturing specification and ensure compliance to all FDA and ISO regulations.
• Prepare and documents all test designs for packages and prepare new packaging and ensure maintenance of all bills of materials according to required specification (Oracle EBS & Tropos ERP)
• Coordinate with both national and international vendors and reduce material costs and plan all related activities for packaging such as transportation and display of products.
• Supervise new labels implementation and ensure investigations on root cause analysis within agreed timelines.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Engineering Degree with relevant professional experience in Packaging & Labelling
• Relevant experience in cleanroom operations with Packaging & Labelling technical support management
• Strong familiarity with EHS, ISO, cGMP, and other regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, macro, PPT, Word, Visio)
• Experience designing, implementing, and improving packaging and labelling processes
• French read, written, and spoken fluently would be advantageous
