Senior Industrial Software Engineer

The role is a full-time and permanent position.

The Senior Industrial Software Engineer will lead the complete Manufacturing Information Systems lifecycle and act as the MES system owner and primary point of contact of the support for our Quotient MosaiQ manufacturing and automation infrastructure systems.  

JOB DESCRIPTION
The main responsibilities will include:

• Lead the complete MES lifecycle and related interfaces from design, mocks-up, implementation, change control and operational support
• Design, develop, implement, and test MES and system integration solutions
• Actively participate in the development of processes. Identify and recommend process improvements
• Provide subject matter expertise to Operations, Engineering and IT in the manufacturing information systems
• Actively provide guidance and governance by ensuring the solution is consistent, scalable, maintainable and harmonized
• Ensure design fits with current requirements and future business direction. Review and approve changes to the solution
• Define functional and technical requirements for Manufacturing solutions through client interviews and documentation analysis
• Establish and maintain the required documentation (e.g. Functional specifications, Installation Qualification) as per the company Computer Systems Validation Procedures
• Develop and execute software verification plans and system quality assurance procedures
• Develop and improve processes, procedures and tools used in the execution of complex projects and software support
• Provide onsite support for Manufacturing Software applications under IT scope
• Ensure timely issue identification, resolution, and appropriate escalation
• Act as a liaison and ensure integration between the supplier, internal project team, internal management, and customer project teams and management
• Research, advice and implement technologies for Digital Factory transformation (Industry 4.0)

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Engineering Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or similar field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering field. SQL databases experience preferred and strong development skills in Microsoft.NET, HTML and Javascript
• Strong competences in MES development and ability to quickly learn new software/applications, SLDC/Agile product development, and validation experience of enterprise applications
• Effective communicator skills which includes, exceptional customer engagement, a positive attitude, helpful customer interaction, and maintenance of ongoing customer relationships
• Customer focused; sense of urgency and adaptive to change
• Dynamic, self-motivated and driven; independent and proactive
• Fluent in English and French
