Quotient is recruiting for a Legal Counsel to join the Legal Affairs and Compliance Department based in Eysins (Switzerland). The role is a full-time and permanent position.


The Legal Counsel is responsible for identifying, protecting and advancing the legal interests of Quotient group companies and for ensuring the company’s compliance with the laws and regulations that govern its operation as a publicly traded enterprise engaged in worldwide marketing of in-vitro diagnostics devices. The position offers the opportunity of a diversified and demanding first experience as in-house legal counsel.




The main responsibilities will include:


  • Guide/supervise/oversee/draft contracts/write and/or participate in group companies’ legal matters including dispute resolutions/litigation, in the field of research & development, manufacturing, procurement, sales, marketing, including tender and other end-customer procurement contracts, vendor, distributor and agent contracts drafting, negotiation or termination;
  • Provide legal counselling and contract, including forms of agreements, drafting for specific geographical regions and/or business units;
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of legal and/or compliance processes and documents in support of corporate compliance strategies and business optimization initiatives; in particular contribute to global data protection policy enhancement and implementation, third-parties qualification review process and resolution of findings, and healthcare transparency and vetting initiatives as needed;
  • Advise internal clients on research and development, manufacturing, procurement, sales and marketing legal aspects, compliance or risk assessment and recommend appropriate approach;
  • Translate legal requirements into succinct and meaningful business operational principles;
  • Provide support to corporate law housekeeping of the group companies;
  • Act as a back-up to Head of Legal & Compliance in the secretariat to the Board of Directors and Committees.



  • Master’s degree in law (legal degree, either civil or common law);
  • First post-qualification experience as internship or trainee in-house company counsel or law firm attorney;
  • Perform job duties and responsibilities in a pro-active, timely, cost-effective and professional manner;
  • Problem solving and critical thinking ability and appetite;
  • Ability to convey complex legal principles clearly and concisely;
  • Ability to prioritise risks and work;
  • Maintain highly sensitive and confidential information;
  • Attention to and care for details;
  • Ability to onboard day-to-day legal work, including para-legal and corporate secretary activities, in addition to strategic legal support;
  • Fluent in two languages (including the English language). Ability to create legal content in both languages.
