Team Leader, Validation


Quotient is recruiting for a Team Leader, Validation to join the Operative Quality Team based in Eysins. The role is a full-time and permanent position.


The Team Leader, Validation will be responsible for providing both technical leadership and line management across all validation activities (including review, interpretation and approval of validation data and documents). The post holder will design, maintain and improve the Validation Master Plan in line with all applicable national and international standards, statutory and regulatory requirements and the principles of GMP. 



The main responsibilities will include:


  • Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of a support, production or operation team.
  • Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion and coordinate work activities with other supervisors;
  • Ensure alignment between decisions and problem solving with Business policies, procedures and plan;
  • Recognised expert, or develop to become such, in validation with depth and breadth of experience in Quotient’s processes, products and their application. Understand business processes / Product and needs of internal / external customers and look to align services provided;
  • Act as a coach to managed and support team members on individual training and development plans to achieve required performance, complete required performance processes;
  • Participate in investigations to determine root cause of study failure and support those for all areas in scope.



  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification, plus relevant work experience;
  • Experience with process, equipment and cleaning method validation;
  • Deep understanding of validation principles and processes;
  • Knowledge and expertise with specialized and core IT packages (i.e. LIMS, MS Office);
  • Strong inter-personal skills evidence by ability to collaborate to achieve common (business) goals and communicate effectively within and outwith peer group;
  • Employ a coaching style to all aspects of line management;
  • Actively seeks opportunity to share solutions to recent problems and /or improvement initiatives as “case studies” across team to aid in development of managed staff;
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and respond flexibly;
  • Fluent in English.
